P R A C T I C E S H E E P
This is designed for dogs and handlers who already have the basics of herding, (having completed a set of 6 lessons with us), or can demonstrate sufficient capability.
It is ideal for dogs who need more miles, a place to practice, or to try different sheep.
Useful aids will be available to borrow while you practice - a long line, several flags,
and obstacles like barrels.
Due to high-demand, availability is limited.
This session does NOT have an instructor present, but if you require assistance please text
403 808 6886
(we are always around, but signal is patchy). We are located just after Millarville Hamlet on fully paved roads, please text or email before booking and I will send you exact directions to us as the field/round pen access point is our Southern entrance.
*Please bring your own water/bowl for your pet and refrain them from jumping in the livestock troughs. Be respectful of the environment and clean up after your Dog(s). Close all gates, and be mindful of the horses. If you or your dog cause damage to the stock (even a small injury), let us know so that it can be monitored and rested, if it is significant enough to warrant veterinary care you will be responsible for the cost (up to the animal's market value). Herding inherently puts you and your dog at risk of injury/death - you are solely responsible for your own actions (make good choices and be safe!).
