POLICY AND WAIVER

FOR HERDING ACTIVITIES INCLUDING PRACTICE SHEEP AND CLASSES

The safety of all people, pets, and livestock are of utmost importance to us. However, to take part in any activities held on our farm we require a release of liability and agreement to follow the conditions. By booking with us, you are agreeing to these terms:

I will keep my dog(s) under direct control at all times (eg. on a leash). I declare that I am the legal owner of the dog attending and that my dog is in good health, (being current on distemper, parvo and parainfluenza immunizations/ or with titer test). I am participating in this activity at my own risk and have disclosed any physical or mental health concerns that may influence mine/my dog's participation. I understand that sessions are held outdoors, and that this exposes me and my dog to natural elements (I am responsible for dressing/preparing accordingly). I understand that participating in Herding can be unpredictable, and exposes dogs and people to injury for which the participant is solely responsible for. Woolly Meadows/Bethany Harris (including our volunteers and property) is released from any and all liability if I or my dog(s) suffer personal injury, and/or my property suffers physical damage. I will take no legal action against any of the above persons or establishments upon injury to myself, a family member, my dog, or damage to my property. I am solely responsible for any personal injury and/or property damage incurred by others, and caused by me or my dog, including injury or death to livestock. The replacement cost of any livestock used will be: Sheep $800.00 ea. Goats $300 ea Geese $70 Ducks $40 ea and I will pay up to that amount for veterinary care if damage is caused by my dog to livestock. I will promptly reimburse any party that sustains personal injury and/or property damage caused by me or my dog. In addition, I will indemnify and hold harmless Woolly Meadows/Bethany Harris (including volunteers) from any cause of action brought by others against them caused by the actions of me or my dog.

At The Meadows Sheep Herding, we want to ensure that you have a great experience and learn the skills necessary to herd sheep with confidence. If you've changed your mind or are dissatisfied, we offer a straightforward cancellation policy that deducts a percentage based on what you've received. We get it, sometimes life happens - please let us know by text or email as soon as you can if you can't make it to class, as one rescheduled class is permitted. For practice sheep, rescheduling is permitted for extreme weather (above 28'C, below -15'C, strong wind/ heavy precipitation), again, please let us know as soon as possible. If your puppy or dog is sick, a mandatory rest period of at least 2 weeks is required before another session is rescheduled. We're dedicated to providing you with the best experience, and we're excited to assist you in your sheep herding journey.

We hope you have a fantastic time with us and welcome our page and your photos being shared on social media. However, please ask for permission to share from the individual, if any footage or photos are not of you/ your dog. We take the welfare of our livestock very seriously, and ask if you have any concerns (ie, any lameness) that you contact us directly.
