We raise a variety of sheep - some are light and move quickly, others are slower and heavy - but all have a part to play teaching dogs how to read sheep and adjust their pace and style. During the year we also have lambs that dogs can see (depending on their training, this may just be through a fence).

Goats (Pygmy/ Nigerian Dwarf) are also a great choice for new-to-herding dogs because they tend to love people, and are very tolerant!

Ducks (Pekin/ Indian Runner) and Geese (Embden) are reserved for instinct testing (inside a pen), for more advanced dogs, or very gentle ones! They require a bit more patience, but are SO fun!
